Through Their Eyes...
History... Through the eyes of those who lived it...
For years I have been fascinated by history.... This fascination has led me to collect these scraps of paper, each one a glimpse back in time.
The people who wrote them have long since gone but they live on through their words. Some of them are famous others forgotten to history but through these documents they continue to teach us much about themselves and the time in which they lived , if we take the time to learn.
We aren't blessed with the ability to see into the future... to see time as it stretches out in front of us and that which is beyond our own lives behind us is often tainted, seen through the lens of time and distorted by perceptions ... we see it through the eyes of people with an agenda... Those who would corrupt the views of our ancestors to achieve their own goals for our future. What we are taught in school... isn't always the truth of what happened.
To see a clearer view of the past, of history, we must look back at it through the eyes of those who lived it.
Join me for a walk through time... and see history.... through their eyes...
